Hey everybody, Willz has a new project called “Cruzmatik” It’s a collaboration with lifelong friend rapper/producer FMZ, these two are bringing their unique styles together to create an album that will rock the clubs as well as the streets. California Beer Fest. 2012| June 15th , 2012
We're back !!! The California Beer Festival (CBF) is coming back Saturday July 28th.12:30 to 5pm. We'll be starting off the event at 12:35 sharp.This is an event not to miss if you like drinking beer. With over 60 craft brews on tap, four live bands, mouth watering food and bocce ball. CBF will be the event of the year for any beer enthusiast! CBF's main goal is to shine a light on the craft beer movement and celebrate great beer!

The party starts at 5:30 pm and goes until sunset. With Ribsy’s Nickel on the outdoor beach stage, and Crow's Nest's famous BBQ and outdoor bar, The Crow's Nest beach parties are a unique and popular event. Day at the Beach | April 20, 2012
We’re happy to announce that on Saturday May 12th at 8pm We will be playing the Mauli Ola Foundation Surf Experience fundraiser party at The Miramar on the wharf. There will be a raffle for some great prizes. Santa Cruz Skateboard, Buell Wetsuit, Volcom goody bag, MOF signed hats. 8 bucks at the door (includes raffle ticket). 21 and over Music starts at 9pm. The Expendables | Nov. 26, 2011
We'll be playing two shows with The Expendables at the Catalyst on December 9th and 10th . It's a 16 and over, show starts at 8pm. We're all excited to play this show with the guys. It's gonna be a fun show just like old times. Get tickets here Friday , Saturday.

Coldwater Classic Party | Sept. 29, 2011
It's that time of year again folks. We will be playing the O'Neil Coldwater Classic Saturday night party at the Miramar on the Santa Cruz municipal wharf October 29th at 9pm. This year is special because it will be a Halloween Party too. So come dressed in your best costume. Most consider it the best time to be in Santa Cruz during our Indian Summer. It just keeps getting better every year !!

Punk Rock/Metal Shows| August 26th, 2011
We are going to start doing some selected shows with Punk Rock /Metal bands. The idea is for us to play all the Punk Rock/Metal songs that we never get to play in our regular shows. When we play these shows it will be an all Punk Rock/Metal set. These shows will be under Ribsy’s Nickel Rocks !!!

Carmel by the sea movie| February 17th, 2011
We are excited to anounce that our song LIVIN got picked up in a movie called "Carmel by the sea". The film is produced by Santa Cruz local and close friend Craig Comstock and Experience Media Studios CEO Michael-Ryan Fletchall. Carmel-by-the-Sea features an all-star cast led by Academy Award® winner Lauren Bacall, Josh Hutcherson , Alfred Molina , Hayden Panettiere , Dina Eastwood , Billy Boyd , and Alexandra Carl . Carmel-by-the-Sea follows a 15-year-old art prodigy Joshua (Josh Hutcherson), abandoned by his drug-addicted mother in Carmel-by-the-Sea, a small town known internationally for its local art community. He is discovered for his own artistic talent and taken in by two apparently opposite mentors played by Alfred Molina and Lauren Bacall. While being mentored, Joshua is introduced to the high dollar, underground world of art forgery. Joshua’s love interest is played by Hayden Panettiere. Labor Day block party this year was awesome. Thanks to all the residents on and around Peyton st., Kemo Sabe for making the trip down from San Francisco and special thanks to The Skeletons for playing there first gig !!! On September 11th we lost a good friend of ours Kevin Dilloughery. On that night, we dedicated our show at The Catalyst to him. We just want to say thank you to everyone who came out to celebrated the life of Kevin Dilloughery . Everybody who was there had a part in helping his family. The September 11th show was truly the definition of "Friends Become Family" -One Love

We will be playing the official O'Neil Coldwater Classic Thursday night party at the Miramar on the Santa Cruz municipal wharf November 5th at 9pm. This will be a rare show for us on the wharf and by far the best week to be in Santa Cruz to watch professional surfing. It just keeps getting better every year !! Big shouts out to Sean and the rest of the boyz up at the Lodge in Cal Berkely. Thanks for all the hospitality and great Luau Party. You guys keep on LIVIN !!!

Wow !!! What a block party it was this year. With seven acts performing all day and the Nickel finishing up in the evening. It was once again a great time on the Westside on Labor Day weekend. We would like to give a big shouts out to all the neighbors and especialy to Heather,Ashley and Big John for all there hard work !!! And now for our next show we will be at the Blue Lagoon Friday October 9th. with Machette Fight it's a 21 and over show 5 bucks at the door. Show start at 9 pm.

It’s a benefit show for the Santa Cruz Surf Museum. All proceeds go to the museum located inside the Lighthouse at Steamers Lane. All ages 4 bands surf art.

Check out Ribsy's Nickel in this documentary movie "As the Gears Turn". Director Cuyler Ruskin and Wiley Watson take you on a very personal journey into the life of 2007 ISDE & WORCS Champion Kurt Caselli. Spend an inside look with Caselli while he talks about about his father, the people who influence him and what he enjoys about riding. As the Gears Turn is packed with footage of Caselli riding with his buddies Tim Weigand and Daryl Eckland at various places including 395 MX, Kyle Redmunds Endurocross track and some wicked trails near his home in Palmdale, CA. Last month we played at the movie premeire for Kurt and all his boys in Valencia, Ca. We all had a great time. The soundtrack features 4 songs from us and we are all proud of our boy Cuyler Ruskin for making a great film'

The Nickel's Back! | June 6, 2005
If you didn't notice, we haven't been playing any shows lately. Why? It's because Willz has been out for the last three month due to a bursted Achilles tendon. We are glad to tell you that Willz is finally walking and we are going to start to play shows again. Our first show will be Saturday July,16th at the Monterey Rock and Art Festival. This is an all ages show, and will be held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
